US GEopolitics affects your life

Looking at US geopolitics is like looking at the weather:  Not only fun to check out but also good to plan you day (or at least I find it fun.

What is geopolitics?  The textbook definition is that It's a study of economics, geography, demographics, politics and climate in a way that looks at how countries act.  Actually it’s more of a study of how people within a certain region behave.  I'm here to make it all simple and show you how your life is or will be affected by it.  That's it.

Now I will say that my approach is more pragmatic than anything.  Ideology and "the way things should be" doesn't change the storm's mind as it parks itself right above your house.  We need to be grown ups a bit here and this brings me to my first question for you.

How Pragmatic are You?

What does it mean to be pragmatic?  It means to focus on common sense and what can be done given the situation.  This means that you are after results first and foremost.  The next question is:  does pragmatic mean unethical?  Not at all and this is because pragmatists understand the practical use of ethics within a person and/or a society.

As an American (and a practical one at that) it’s good for you to know what is happening in certain regions of the world and how it affects you now (or later.)  This can be for you personally, your business, or for your family.  Heck it can be for what happens to you today!

It is also good to know how our policies and behavior at home affects the world at large.  This will help you make better decisions at the ballot box and with your wallet in the future.

Know how the United States affects her future

America is also a constantly changing nation.  As we speak we are all being thrown into the world of geopolitics as our administration changes the status quo of one era and brings about a new one.

Right now Americans are asking themselves new questions and rethinking their place in this big world.  Sure we have the grand "Are foreign powers taking advantage of us?"  or "Are we taking advantage of our geopolitical position in the world?" or even "What are our plans to secure the future of our future generations? "

But we also ask ourselves:  "Are gas prices going up?" or "what field should my child get in for the next ten years?"  or "I'm planning a trip to Egypt...should I even go?"

Should we secure the national resources and territorial buffer that Greenland would offer us?  Do parts of our neighbors want to join us as they did in the past?

Or is the American empire in decline?  Find these all answered here and then some.

Practical Facts and not Ideological Wishful Thinking

USGeopolitics focuses on practical information that shows how the changes of the world can affect you practically.

When you look at the weather you don't consider the unfortunate reality of bad weather hitting the poorest communities.  It just so happens that these poorest communities are built right on the path of bad weather.  The lesson for you is to not build your community where bad weather shows up or expect it.

That's it.

We've Been Taught to Skip the Geopolitical Stuff

There are certain facts our schools do not teach us.

Did you know that the United States is an empire?   We are taught that the United States is just another country that happens to be stronger and wealthier than others.  In reality it has more than 700 military bases around the world including fourteen territories.  Did you know we have 14 territories?

Did you know that the United States has satellite countries that act as satellite states to guarantee American security?  In fact a few countries are deemed a proper vassal state.

So what does this mean to you?  Your decisions as an American affects more than your town or state, it affects the world itself.

Caution:  Not for the Faint of Heart or the hypersensitive

You will be offended.  You've been warned.  There is a saying that goes "the truth will set you free but first it will make you mad."  With that being said, get ready to understand the world of geopolitics in a raw way.

About the Founder of US Geopolitics

PhotoofmeAmericaandAlaska

I'm Expat Dad and I am a well traveled American.  In fact I come from a line of American expats.  What’s more, I have lived abroad since I was 6 months old with a few years in the United States for college and cultural assimilation.  I got to see first hand just how far and wide American influence goes.  Not just our cultural and militaristic influence, but our financial and political stances too.

About the Founding of Foreign Affairs

We will look at how foreign affairs affect your daily life - believe it or not.

Manifest Destiny 2.0?

It's bound to happen.  In fact it is happening before our very eyes.  Get ready to find out just how the United States has been expanding across more than just the world, but across her oceans and outer space too.   Manifest destiny 2.0 is on the move and it's time for you to act on it.

The Acquisition of Greenland and Canada?

This includes the potential absorption of the rest of the northern American continent.  I think that the separation of Canada and the United States is unfinished business from an era when Great Britain was an empire.  It's time for history to happen and the same goes with Greenland.  Currently claimed by a kingdom the size of New York state that has no business "owning" such a territory.

Or is the American Empire on the Decline?

Or are the winds of change coming from the other direction?  Many would tell you that the United States is on the decline.  After all...we have all this debt...China is breathing down our necks and then some.  The fact that we Americans are still very cautious about everything is proof that we are not on the decline.  Americans are not an arrogant people.  A sometimes misinformed and misunderstood people, yes.  but we are not arrogant nor are we without the means to bring about what many would agree is the American Century.
